About

August 23 – 30, 2024, will mark the first annual National Week of Prayer and Action on Gun Violence – a week when people from all walks of faith and conscience come together to share and amplify the importance of taking action on gun violence to protect children.

We chose this week because it coincides with many back-to-school activities and provides a natural opportunity to promote the SECURE STORAGE of firearms. It is one of the easiest ways to keep children safe at home and in our communities.

You can support this work by incorporating points of prayer within your service, having a moment of action in front of your House of Worship, hosting a virtual event, or sharing the word about National Week of Prayer and Action for Gun Violence.

Members of all religious and ideological backgrounds can come together to support those affected by gun violence and work towards safer communities across the country.
